Event «CH2018 Climate Change Scenarios for Switzerland»

The CH2018 Climate Change Scenarios show where and how climate change is affecting Switzerland. They provide the most accurate view to date of our country's future climate. The scenarios were launched together with the new NCCS web platform in a national event on 13 November 2018.

The National Centre for Climate Services (NCCS) and the ETH Center for Climate Systems Modeling (C2SM) presented the findings of the new CH2018 Climate Change Scenarios and the new NCCS web platform on the afternoon of 13 November 2018. The event took place at ETH Zurich.

The CH2018 Climate Change Scenarios constitute the first key focus area of the NCCS, that was presented to a wide range of target groups, including the general public. The afternoon was divided into three parts: a presentation of the main findings, an interactive part for in-depth dialogue between producers, users and other interested parties, and a panel discussion among various stakeholders. The event saw also the launch of the new NCCS web platform, that makes available not only the new CH2018 Climate Change Scenarios, but also a wide range of other climate services of the Swiss federal government.
