The use of space is strongly influenced by the development of various climate-related risks. Spatial planning decisions and corresponding measures must therefore also be taken with a view to the far-reaching consequences of climate-related risks. The Federal Office for Spatial Development ARE is responsible for implementing measures at the federal level for adaptation to climate change in the spatial development sector.
