Climate change affects energy production and energy demand. Both positive as well as negative effects thereby result. There is a need for adaptation in power plant operations, in the safety of production and transport infrastructures and in the requirements for buildings and equipment. The lead for measures for adaptation to climate change in the energy sector, where nothing else is noted, is taken by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy SFOE.
